Oxford FRCA is an independent FRCA revision platform created by Dr Henry Jefferson, a consultant anaesthetist at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with a long-standing interest in postgraduate medical education.
Henry has run Oxford CPD, a non-profit medical education organisation, for over eight years and has delivered deanery-wide Final FRCA teaching across the Thames Valley for more than five years. Oxford FRCA grew out of that same commitment: to build the revision resource that many trainees wish they had during their own FRCA preparation.
Over the past year, it has developed into a curriculum-mapped FRCA revision platform focused on high-quality SBA questions, clear explanations and helping trainees identify where revision is most needed.
Why Oxford FRCA?
FRCA preparation can be difficult to organise. Most trainees find themselves juggling question banks, textbooks, courses and personal notes, often without a clear understanding of where their knowledge gaps lie.
Oxford FRCA was built to make that process simpler. The aim is not simply to provide more questions, but to help trainees understand why an answer is correct, identify weaker areas and focus their revision where it will have the greatest impact.

Built by a Consultant Anaesthetist
Oxford FRCA is developed by Dr Henry Jefferson. What started as a personal project has grown into a revision platform used by trainees across the UK.
Every bug report, feature request and piece of feedback is read personally, and many of the platform's current features originated from suggestions made by trainees using it.
Always improving
Oxford FRCA is a continually evolving project. New questions are added regularly, explanations are refined, and new features are developed in response to what trainees find useful. If something is not working well, or you have an idea that could improve the platform, feedback goes directly to Henry.

Help trainees prepare for the FRCA through high-quality questions, clear explanations and focused revision tools.
Keeping it affordable
Oxford FRCA was built with trainees in mind, and keeping it accessible will always be part of that. There are real costs involved in running the platform, including hosting, infrastructure, question development and ongoing maintenance, and subscriptions help cover those costs.
The aim is to build a sustainable platform that keeps getting better, rather than maximising profit. As Oxford FRCA grows, revenue is reinvested into new questions, improved features and development of the Final FRCA bank.
